" Most Memorable Public Golf Holes”
The Champaign-Urbana News-Gazette called Hole-17 at BNGC one of the "Most Memorable Public Golf Holes" in Central Illinois in their 2003 Best Nine Holes in Central Illinois. The Champaign-Urbana News-Gazette said “Blue Needles Golf Course Hole-17 is one of the News-Gazette areas prettiest holes. It might be confused with a hole you might see on the better golf courses used by the PGA Tour. It’s framed well with a fairly tight chute to go thought off the tee, with trees lining the right side and water to the left. Driving accuracy is a must. The long fairway is straight but curves as it nears the green. A short par 5, even from the tips, the beauty of the hole gives a golfer a true feel of the grand game” |
